Roadside Emergency Kit

Emergency Supplies

Having a first aide in your vehicle would be a great first addition to your roadside emergency kit. You can buy all types of first aide kits, and they can vary greatly in price from expensive to very affordable. It all depends on what you’re comfortable spending, and what you think would fit your needs best. But there are things that you can add yourself that aren’t included in the first aide kit. Things such as bottled water, non perishable food items, blankets and matches would be great additions to your other first aide items.

Tools for Your Vehicle

Having certain repair tools kept in your vehicle at all times is also a great way to stay prepared. You can even buy certain tool kits that are specifically for vehicles and to be kept in vehicles. Some items that should be included are jumper cables, a small tire pressure gauge and even WD-40.

Weather Preparedness

Weather is very unpredictable, especially in Oklahoma, so being prepared for all types of weather situation is vital to your roadside emergency kit. Things that are kept with your kits for weather preparedness include blankets, glove, heavy jackets and umbrellas. This part of the kit is most important during the winter months, because if you’re stranded in the winter, you’re going to need warmth.

Taking the time to prepare a few items to keep with your in your vehicle can come in handy when you face unexpected roadside issues. Also contact your independent insurance agent to see if you have roadside assistance on your policy.
