Benefits of a Dash Cam

Help in Accidents or Claims

Even in cases of accidents in more populated areas you still may not have a witness to your accident. Sometimes in insurance when the fault of an accident can’t be determined then it gets halved, meaning you’d be half responsible for an accident you may not have caused. But, having your dash cam can possible show clearly who the at fault driver was and who was in the wrong.

Monitor While Away

Some dash cams have the ability to always be on, meaning that if you’re not in the vehicle the dash cam will continue recording, showing if you received damage from a hit and run accident. Other dash cams will record when the vehicle is off only if motion is detected, which would still help in the case of a hit and run.

Affordability

Dash cams range in price from very affordable to pretty luxurious. I’ve had a dash cam in my vehicle for almost four years. It’s a great comfort on the road to know that if something were to happen that wasn’t my fault, I could prove that it wasn’t my fault. I found my dash cam on Amazon for no more than $40 and it also came with a small additional camera to attach to the rear window of my vehicle to watch the back as well.

Dash cams can really come in handy when it comes to auto claims or accidents. They can help prove something happened that you say happened. They are a great addition to your vehicle, and a great peace of mind on the road.
